Tamil Nadu Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the TANCAM website, learner/participant portal, and any related online services (together, the “Platform”) operated by the Tamil Nadu Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing (“TANCAM”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
TANCAM provides a dedicated engineering ecosystem in support of the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, including training courses, workshops, hackathons, faculty development programs, spoke-centre activities and related industry projects (together, the “Services”).
By visiting the Platform, creating an account, registering for a course, program, workshop or event, uploading content, or making any payment through the Platform, you (“you”, “the user”, “the participant”) confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Pricing Policy, each of which forms part of this agreement. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Who Can Use the Platform
The Platform and its Services are generally intended for students, faculty, professionals and MSME/industry participants who wish to enrol in TANCAM's courses, workshops, hackathons or other programs. Certain courses or programs may have their own eligibility criteria (such as academic qualification, institution affiliation, or age), which will be specified on the relevant course or program page.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for any course, program or event.
- Where a person is registering on behalf of an institution, team or group, they confirm that they are authorised to do so on that institution's or group's behalf.
- Participants below 18 years of age should have the consent of a parent, guardian or their institution before registering, where required by the specific program.
3. Account and Registration Responsibilities
Users registering on the Platform are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity carried out under their account. You agree to:
- Provide true, current and complete information at the time of registration and keep it updated;
- Notify TANCAM promptly of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security; and
- Comply with the specific eligibility, documentation and submission requirements applicable to the course, program, workshop or event you register for.
TANCAM reserves the right to reject, suspend or cancel any registration where the information provided is found to be false, incomplete, or where eligibility conditions for a given course or program are not met.
4. Courses, Programs and Content
Details of individual courses, workshops, hackathons and other programs – including their curriculum, duration, mode of delivery and any prerequisites – are published and updated by TANCAM from time to time on the Platform. TANCAM may modify the schedule, faculty, format or content of a course or program where reasonably necessary, and will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled participants of any material change.
Certificates, credits or recognitions issued on completion of a course or program are subject to the participant meeting the attendance, assessment or project requirements specified for that course or program.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees applicable to a course, program, workshop or event, where applicable, are set out on the relevant registration page and in our Pricing Policy, which forms part of these Terms. All payments made through the Platform are processed through a third-party payment gateway. TANCAM does not store your card, net-banking or UPI credentials; these are handled directly by the payment gateway in accordance with its own security standards.
A registration is confirmed only once the applicable fee, if any, has been received and reflected as successful in the Platform's records. Refunds and cancellations relating to fees are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Code of Conduct
By registering for and participating in any TANCAM course, program, workshop, hackathon or event, you agree that you will:
- Behave respectfully towards TANCAM staff, faculty, mentors, judges, fellow participants and spoke-centre personnel;
- Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, unsafe conduct, or academic dishonesty (such as plagiarism or misrepresentation of work);
- Follow all safety instructions and facility rules at TANCAM's centres, spoke centres and any partner venues; and
- Comply with all applicable laws while using the Platform or participating in any TANCAM activity.
TANCAM may suspend a participant's access to a course or program, revoke a certificate, or bar a participant from future TANCAM activities where this Code of Conduct is breached, without any obligation to refund fees already paid.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including the TANCAM name, logo, course materials, page content and design elements, is the intellectual property of TANCAM or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for any commercial purpose without prior written permission.
Where you submit project work, designs, videos or other material as part of a course, hackathon or program, you confirm that you own or have the right to submit such material, and you grant TANCAM a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display such material for evaluation, certification, program promotion and archival purposes.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform and the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While TANCAM makes reasonable efforts to keep the Platform accurate, secure and available, we do not guarantee that it will be free of interruptions, errors or delays, including in relation to course schedules or dashboard updates, which may be affected by factors outside our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TANCAM, its officers, faculty and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or participation in a TANCAM course, program, workshop or event.
10. Suspension and Termination
TANCAM may suspend or terminate a user's access to the Platform, or a participant's enrolment in a course or program, at any time where these Terms, the Code of Conduct, or applicable program rules are breached. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and indemnification shall survive any such termination.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TANCAM, its officers, faculty and partners harmless from any claim, liability, damage or expense arising out of your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or any content you submit.
12. Governing Law
