COSIEMA COE – TANCAM Spoke Centre successfully conducted a one-day workshop on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies for 60 students from the Production Department of PSG College of Technology, following the completion of their 15-day Cluster Training programme. The workshop was designed to strengthen industry–academia collaboration by providing students with practical exposure to real-world manufacturing environments and emerging industrial practices.
The program highlighted the role of the COSIEMA COE as TANCAM’s Industry Spoke Centre, showcasing the advanced training programs and engineering services available for students, MSMEs, and startups. During the session, awareness was also created about TN IMPACT and the TNWISE Hackathon initiative for women students, reinforcing the focus on innovation-driven skill development and inclusive participation in science and engineering.
The event was inaugurated on behalf of COSIEMA by Mr. Mathivanan, President; Mr. Kumar, Secretary; Mr. Krishnamoorthy, Past President; and Mr. Navaneethan, Immediate Past President. The program was coordinated with the support of Mr. Muralidharan, Training Manager, PSG College of Technology, and enabled students to interact directly with industrialists and domain experts.
As part of the engagement, students visited the COSIEMA COE – TANCAM Spoke Centre, where they explored real-time engineering services and advanced manufacturing capabilities with the support of Mr. Kishore. The interaction helped students gain clarity on industrial technologies and applications, and we sincerely thank all the COSIEMA delegates for their continued support in making this initiative a meaningful success.
