Industry Workshop on "Accelerating Mechanical Product Development: Design to Manufacturing"

On 23rd November 2024, the Industry Workshop on "Accelerating Mechanical Product Development: Design to Manufacturing" was successfully held at the COSIEMA Centre of Excellence, Coimbatore, one of TANCAM’s Industry Spoke Centres. TANCAM is actively establishing Industry Spoke Centres to bring advanced technologies closer to industrial hubs, making it easier for businesses and communities to leverage the latest technology.

The workshop brought together industry professionals, MSMEs, and aspiring engineers, fostering an environment for knowledge exchange and hands-on learning. The event began with an introduction to TANCAM’s Industry Spoke Centre and its offerings, followed by sessions on advanced tools and techniques for mechanical product development. Participants explored 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA and its applications in New Product Development, Tool & Die (DFMA), and Mold Flow Simulations, gaining valuable insights into its capabilities. A session on Simulation-Driven Experiences with SIMULIA demonstrated the transformative power of simulations in driving engineering innovation. Additionally, hands-on demonstrations of Rapid Prototyping and Digital Manufacturing with DELMIA highlighted how cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing product development workflows.
